Statue of Liberty

statueliberty300The Statue of Liberty…What a beautiful symbol of our American freedom.  “The people of France gave the Statue to the people of the United States over one hundred years ago in recognition of the friendship established during the American Revolution.” (http://www.statueofliberty.org/Statue_History.html)  The statue was a joint effort between the United States and France and was officially dedicated in October 1886.  Now 127 years later, we still honor and keep her.

While the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation continues its fund-raising efforts for repairs needed after hurricane Sandy, we look inside at a project with unique ties to our automation industry.
